Avoid alcohol also, although during a pregnancy you should not be drinking alcohol anyway. This is common sense. If you are a smoker, quit smoking, not only is this a healthy suggestion for your pregnancy, but it will also reduce the likelihood of acid reflux occurring. If you think you suffer from a lot of acid reflux, or may even be suffering from constant GERD during your pregnancy, it is suggested you speak to the medical carer who is looking after you during your pregnancy. He or she will be able to assess you and advise you on what to take and how you can alleviate the symptoms of acid reflux or GERD. There are remedies you can put into action that will not harm your pregnancy. These remedies are very safe to use and are also very effective. Natural remedies are often advised.
