Heartburn is really not a very nice feeling to have to experience, and for some who have not had heartburn before, can be quite frightening. These foods are best to avoid as they are stimulants of gastric acids. Other foods that can cause heartburn, and which you should try to avoid are: Fried and fatty foods. Take-a-away foods can often cause heartburn due to the amount of soaked in fat they contain within them. Garlic and onions have also been known to cause heartburn in some people, so these foods, I suggest to avoid if possible also. Some people have also had tomatoes or citrus fruits cause a bout of heartburn. Therefore these can also be foods you should try to avoid. Preventing heartburn is a part of curing heartburn. Learning to avoid the foods that you have eaten prior to experiencing heartburn is obviously of high importance for you to not experience further attacks of heartburn. Any food you eat that brings on an attack of heartburn should be avoided in the future. Herbs for Heartburn There are in fact some natural ways you can learn to relieve heartburn. One of these ways is to use natural herbs. Herbs are well known for helping with heartburn. There is a herbal tea infusion which works wonders for heartburn. This can be made up with the following: arrowroot, or slippery elm. This is called an infusion. You can also make a good herb infusion using fennel or anise seeds. Both of these herb infusions will be efficient in relieving heartburn. Drink these herb infusions during the day. A great herb tea you can drink during the day, and at least an hour before going to bed is: chamomile tea. This herb tea is perfect to prevent heartburn or to ease heartburn. If you visit your local health store or pharmacy, and assistant there will also be able to point you in the right direction, and suggest to you which herb remedy will be best suited to your requirements and will therefore help you with the heartburn you have been suffering. There are a few other herbs that can help with heartburn. These herbs include: licorice root, meadowsweet, and lemon. All of these herbs will aid you fight against heartburn.
